Claude Code Changes How Agencies Build
Anthropic released Claude Code as a CLI tool that lets developers work with AI directly in the terminal. We have been running our entire production pipeline on it. Here is what most agencies are missing.
Anthropic's Claude Code is not just another AI coding assistant. It is a full agent runtime that can read your codebase, execute commands, manage files, and chain complex workflows together. Most developers are using it to autocomplete functions. We are using it to run an entire agency.
Our production pipeline (scrape a client's existing site, extract brand tokens, build a complete website, deploy, provision payments and booking, sync to our portal) runs as Claude Code skills. Each skill is a markdown file that describes a workflow. Claude Code executes it autonomously.
The compound effect is significant. We have 80+ skills covering sales, operations, design, QA, security, and deployment. Each skill builds on the others. What used to require a team coordinating across multiple platforms now runs in one terminal session.
The piece most agencies are missing is the learning loop. Every time we fix a bug, we write a playbook. Every playbook becomes a skill improvement. The skills get better with every engagement. This is not theoretical AI productivity. It is compound operational advantage that widens with every client.
